The real driver behind that upgrade is the ability to increase tire width. My current Diverge maxes out at 700&#215;38. Joey suggested experimenting with his WTB 650b wheels running WTB Venture 47&#8217;s. They had clearance inside my frame so I decided to ride them on a getaway trip to Banner Elk, NC where there are plenty of gravel ups and downs on which to give them a thorough workout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It didn&#8217;t take long to realize this solution gave me the increased tire under the bike that I have been after since riding Rothrock in the spring of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s going to be the perfect wheel\/tire combo sizing solution for me on this bike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you have been following along this season you know I have been trying to get my hands on a new Diverge frameset.
